David Buico

Executive Chef | Rock Center Café and Summer Garden & Bar

Born in Brooklyn New York, David Buico grew up in the kitchen, cooking authentic recipes that were passed down for generations by his Italian family members. After honing his skills in smaller cafes and restaurants in New York City, David accepted a Sous Chef position at Rock Center Café in 2004. He continued to sharpen his culinary style, and was hired as the Executive Chef at Bocca, a Roman restaurant in Manhattan, in 2008. He served as a consultant and executive chef for several concepts, including Fresco by Scotto, before returning to Rock Center Café as the Chef de Cuisine in 2014. He was then promoted in 2016 to Executive Chef of Rock Center Café. Chef David blends classic Italian techniques and modern American influences, presenting a unique style of his own, cultivated from over 20+ years of professional experience.
