The Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center in Midtown is the NYC insiders' destination for the finest seafood in the city at one of the world’s most iconic landmark locations. For nearly thirty years, The Sea Grill has thrilled its loyal guests daily with the highest quality, freshest seafood prepared in impeccable style just steps from Times Square. Our raw bar and sushi selection is renowned as a Midtown favorite, and offered at lunch and dinner.


At the helm of our ship is Executive Chef Yuhi Fujinaga. His experience working in Michelin-starred kitchens around the world brings innovative and memorable techniques to The Sea Grill’s lunch and dinner menus. Chef Fujinaga’s specialties range from American Seafood classics such as our famous Sea Grill Chowder and legendary Jumbo Crab Cakes to modern dishes in harmony with the seasons, like our Summer Lobster Pot, lightly-cured Lomilomi Salmon and Beer-Battered Soft-Shell Crabs.

The spacious and elegant interior of The Sea Grill, designed by world-famous restaurant designer Adam Tihany, offers Midtown diners impressive year-round views overlooking The Rink at Rockefeller Center in winter and our lush, flowering Summer Garden in the warmer months.

Join us at our bar at lunch and enjoy signature appetizers, freshly-shucked oysters by the piece and flawless sushi and sashimi—or our 2-course prix-fixe lunch special. Beginning at 4:30PM from Monday through Saturday, the bar turns into a Sushi and Sake Lounge with expanded menu offerings from classic to highly innovative sushi and sashimi. There, you can enjoy Imperial Wagyu Beef Nigiri with Crispy Rice or Spicy Ahi Pressed Sushi, as well as shareable lounge favorites like Portobello Mushroom “Fries” and premium sake options.

Thirty years after opening, The Sea Grill enjoys its well-deserved reputation as a treasured experience where sophisticated, classic and modern seafood all come together in a comfortable and elegant setting against a spectacular urban backdrop in Rockefeller Center.

Yuhi Fujinaga
Executive Chef – The Sea Grill

Executive Chef Yuhi Fujinaga brings an impressive background of classical training and fine dining skills from some of the world’s best kitchens to The Sea Grill.

His career includes the rare opportunity to have studied under some of the most celebrated culinary masters of our time in Michelin-starred restaurants, spanning the globe from Japan, Spain and New York City. As an executive chef, he has earned critical acclaim, including a review from the New York Times, when critic Sam Sifton wrote “…he cooks this food beautifully, and his menu offers real pleasures.”

Born in Japan and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Fujinaga has an affinity for the sea rooted in his heritage. His menus offer up a fresh approach and cooking style, with an emphasis on a variety of seafood delicacies as they come in season, featuring both classical and modern approaches.
