Café Descanso

Located just past the entrance to the gardens, Café Descanso offers a gourmet selection of breakfast pastries, fresh salads, sandwiches, homemade cookies, ice cream, beer and wine. Tables are provided on the adjacent outdoor covered patio.

During the summer, enjoy Camellia Lounge in the Japanese Tea House open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-8pm. Sip refreshing signature cocktails and savor delicious small plates. The lounge is perfect location to spend a beautiful summer evening.

Descanso Gardens is one of Southern California's most magical botanical delights, with breathtaking seasonal floral displays.

Tiana Driggins Chef de Cuisine, Descanso Gardens Chef Tiana oversees Café Descanso, Patina Catering and culinary education at Descanso including her popular wine tasting series in the summer and year round cooking classes. She incorporates fresh, seasonal ingredients in her recipes, taking inspiration from the surrounding gardens. A graduate of USC, Chef Tiana pursued her culinary career in 2000 at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA. After her studies, she worked in several restaurants in New York and at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Chef Tiana is influenced by her favorite cuisine, Italian. Her dynamic personality and culinary talent have garnered the attention of many guests and media in the community.
